In 2021, in cooperation with PA DEP, Hazleton Oil & Environmental launched a new program, HHW Events (Household Hazardous Waste). The HHW Events are set up for residents who want to dispose of household hazardous wastes safely. For a fee, residents who register in advance for the event, can bring small quantities of paint, gas, aerosol cans & kerosene to our facility for proper disposal.
Residents MUST call the office, 570-929-1793 for an appointment.
For 2024 Events, an appointment must be made the week before the event date. ($75 Fee)
Week of September 9th between 9am-3pm
Week of October 7th between 9am-3pm.
The 2025 events will be announced at a later date.
