In 2021, in cooperation with PA DEP, Hazleton Oil & Environmental launched a new program, HHW Events (Household Hazardous Waste). The HHW Events are set up for residents who want to dispose of household hazardous wastes safely. For a fee, residents who register in advance for the event, can bring small quantities of paint, gas, aerosol cans & kerosene to our facility for proper disposal.
Quantities are limited.
Residents MUST call the office, 570-929-1793 for an appointment.
For 2026 Events, an appointment must be made the week before the event date. There is a $75 CASH fee for each person.
Week of April 13th between 9am-3pm
Week of May 11th between 9am-3pm.
Week of June 16th between 9am-3pm.
Week of July 22nd between 9am-3pm.
Week of August 17th between 9am-3pm.
Week of September 14th between 9am-3pm.
Week of October 12th between 9am-3pm.
